Localize the National Broadcast of West 47th Street in Your Community
On Sunday, May 19, 2013, "West 47th Street," the award-winning documentary film that follows four members of Fountain House over three years, will return to PBS in time for its 10th anniversary.
The film was called "must see" by Newsweek, won the Atlanta Film Festival and aired on PBS a decade ago, and it remains a timely, intimate and illuminating look at the Fountain House clubhouse program and the members who approach tremendous obstacles with humor, optimism and grace. The film will feature a 30-minute segment at the end, updating the documentary and the mental health issues on which the film focused, including stigma, community care and recovery.
